That woman had tried everything there was to try and had been rebuffed every time. She’s even tried out for a different British show and was mocked publicly by the MC.

But that didn’t stop Susan. With all that against her and Simon Cowell in front of her, Susan Boyle owned that stage from the first 3 notes of I Dreamed a Dream. And you know what? Her first CD is one of the best selling of all time.

What does this mean for you as a network marketer trying to build a downline? It means that you, too, need to become a star. And you don’t do that by marketing a product. You do it by marketing yourselfyour expertise, your experience, and your story! 

People don’t follow products or business models. People follow people. Become someone people want to follow, and your downline will come to you.

Think of our toddler. Toddlers don’t have to be told to be cute or to get our attention—they just do it.

What do toddlers do in their every waking moment? They learn—colors, and shapes, and oh, my, that must be my nose! If you want to achieve network marketing success and build yourself a hearty downline, you need to adopt a toddler’s enthusiasm for learning.

Why? Because one of the keys to becoming a network marketing star is to bring value to your downline’s table. To bring that value, you have to have it. This means you need to follow your own network marketing mentor’s advice and educate yourself constantly.
