What You Won’t Hear About Network Marketing Anywhere Else—But You Need to Know

What aren’t you going to hear about network marketing anywhere else?

The fact that 97% of the people who try it, fail at it.

That’s a pretty harsh statistic, isn’t it? But it’s true.

Today I’m a top income earner because of network marketing. But you know what? The first time I tried it, I failed, too!

Oh, and wasn’t that a fun experience—bothering my family until they changed their phone numbers, cold calling, and all of those endless meetings. I have to say, everyone thought I was crazy when I gave network marketing a go again a few years later.

Of course, no one thinks I’m crazy now.

So what made the difference? One huge difference is that my first network marketing attempt wasn’t online—the second and third were.

Let me tell you, what a difference! With old-school network marketing you go in search of leads. If you do network marketing online and do it well, the leads come to you!

But here’s the other main difference between my first failure and my later successes. The second time around, I was coached by a mentor who knew this business inside out.

Now, I’m a violin prodigy. I was one of the youngest professors ever to be hired by the Royal College of Music in London when I graduated at age 21. And one of the most important things I’ve learned in my music career is that even prodigies need lessons! Did you know it can take a month just to learn how to hold a bow properly?

Why would anyone think that network marketing is any different? This is a business—not only that, it’s a unique business in that it has the potential to give you time, location, and financial freedom on your own terms.

But at the same time, there are “rules” to successful network marketing just like there are “rules” to the game of any successful business. And just as even a prodigy can’t learn how to play the violin without lessons, the only way to become a network marketing success is to learn from a current successful entrepreneur.

That’s why I didn’t just listen to my mentor—I watched him and did exactly what he did. Network marketing is something like a science in that successful techniques can be duplicated.

Now, obviously, there are a lot of people out there who will claim they can teach you all about network marketing. So how do you choose? First, find someone who has achieved what YOU want to achieve!

If you want to be a millionaire through network marketing, find a millionaire network marketer to teach you. If you want to work on your leadership skills, do some research and find the strongest leaders in the industry.

And so on. Just make sure you do your research so you know you’ve found the right person to teach you what you want to know about network marketing, and you’ll be well on your way to success!
