Brand or Die: The Only Way to Success in the Network Marketing Business

When you’re in the network marketing business, you’re not selling a product or a business opportunity. You’re selling yourself. You’re selling your personal brand.

What does a brand have to do with people? I know that many of us associate brands with corporate logos, but in the network marketing business world, a brand is so much more than that.

Your brand is your story. It’s about who you are and the value you bring to network marketing, to other marketers, and to your downline. Your brand is the special things about you that attract other network marketers and potential network marketers to you.

So half of branding yourself involves being the kind of person you want to attract to your marketing team. Don’t worry if you’re not completely “there” yet—your growth and evolution can also be part of your brand!

Of course, you can have the strongest brand in the world, and it won’t do you any good unless people know about it. Think about everything you admire about your favorite writer: their style, their personality, the way their work makes you think or feel.

But what if your favorite writer worked in a grocery store and never published her work? That person would still be writing words that could move you, but you’d never hear of them.

So how do you get the good word out about your wonderful brand? That’s what the Internet is for!

Use article directories to post articles that will help your potential customers and network marketing downline members. Be active in the same ways on the social networking sites—always ready to answer another networker’s questions or offer a helpful word.

Create a website that showcases the wonderful work you’re doing in the network marketing business and that highlights your success.

And that’s how you do the work of branding yourself! First, be the kind of person you want to attract and, second, get the word out about yourself and your network marketing business success. Good luck and happy marketing!
